The only womanist theological ethicist on the Yale University Divinity School faculty, Dr. Turman authored Toward a Womanist Ethic of Incarnation: Black Bodies, the Black Church and the Council of Chalcedon, the first book-length womanist treatment of the conciliar tradition.
