What is hell? Where did this idea originate? What is the Christian history of the doctrine of hell. Is hell a physical place? A spiritual destination? Or is hell just a fear tactic that early Christian movements decided to bring in. Hell is not a part of Jewish belief, something similar to hell is mentioned a few brief times in the Old Testament.
