Luna Carmoon is a self-taught writer and director from South East London.  An original, provocative voice, her writing is subversive, distinctly dissecting the absurd with the mundane rooted in womanhood, working-class culture, and the mythology of memory. Luna’s debut feature film, Hoard was met with critical acclaim, world premiering at Venice in 2023 and winning several Critics’ Week prizes, including the audience award. Luna has recently been awarded the BFI and Chanel Filmmaker Award 2025.
