The World Needs a Witch is about mysticism, activism and how wild women can push equality and empowerment forward by exploring witchcraft in the past and present and across cultures. The podcast is hosted by two longtime friends who have always shared a knowing glance about their connection to the other side, who share a strong current sense of being pissed at the patriarchy and an equally strong conviction in feminine power. It was born during the Kavanaugh hearings, where from Toronto to Los Angeles, the two fumed with outrage and asked each other what can we do at this moment as women, for women.
Through this ten part series Katie & Megan explore their shared burning questions at this moment in time. What does it mean to be a witch in 2019? Why does the word still hold so much fear and negativity? WTF is a witch hunt anyways? How does one become a witch if they want to? What do other cultures have to teach us about feminine power? Can witchcraft be a uniting and empowering force for all women? Does the world need a witch, right now?
