In this episode, we discuss the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act, often referred to as SGMA. This landmark legislation was passed in 2014 and is the first to regulate groundwater in California. We discuss Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) and their timeline to produce Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs) for their basins.
