Steve Schmidt joins Scott Galloway for a wide-ranging conversation about the political reckoning he believes is coming — and what must happen next.

With the midterm elections just 35 days away, Steve explains why he believes the Trump coalition is collapsing, where unexpected Democratic victories could emerge and why the election will be less an embrace of the Democratic Party than a repudiation of Donald Trump and MAGA.

But winning is only the beginning.

Steve and Scott discuss what accountability should look like if Democrats take control of Congress, including investigations into corruption and abuses of power, congressional oversight, ethics reform and new limits on presidential power.

They also take on Mark Carney’s leadership, the war with Iran, Xi Jinping, America’s declining power abroad and the dangerous new world taking shape after two years of Trump.

The larger question: Can America simply move past the Trump era — or must it fundamentally reform the institutions that allowed it to happen?
