This week’s episode is the second part of our conversation on colorism. We talk this week about light skinned/brown skinned women with my friends and colleagues Sasha Birt-Moody and Givan Hinds. The topics include fetishization, texturism, and just the stereotypes that surrounds the light skinned community. Ren discusses her complex and layered experience as a lighter complected woman and how she discovered that lighter complected women aren’t as monolithic as society portrays them to be.
Listen, learn, and share! The Vent will be back right after Labor Day after a brief hiatus! God Bless!
