Despite being down and out after a failed health episode in the peak of her life at 31 years old, Chief Painter and a local Crafterprenuer, Amelia is thankful today that she has found healing and solace through her craft business, Sunshine & Love.

From being a self-taught craft artist to conducting corporate workshops with various institutions such as Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nan Chiau Primary School, Rainbow Centre; having her first ever art installation “Paper Cut Silhouette Jar Lanterns” with Chinatown Heritage Centre; to seeking out meaningful collaborations with local crafters and businesses to build up the craft community in Singapore, she hopes to journey on and bring about good vibes through her art/work.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Amelia’s slide into catatonic depression - and what does that even mean?
  • What it was like during those lowest times in her life
  • Amelia’s road to recovery
  • How she sees money and financial freedom from a different perspective
  • What business means to her
  • How she keeps herself going
  • And so much more!

I’m really grateful for Amelia’s honesty, friendship and generosity. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
