MG (R) Dana Pittard was my former Division Commander while stationed at Fort Bliss, TX. 

One of the things that I admired most about him was his authenticity. When he  was featured in the article "The General who went to war on Suicide", I had even more respect for him. 

In this episode he speaks the hard truths on what he tried to do and did for Fort Bliss. He shares his personal story of struggle and why he was so passionate about doing more to save lives. 

He is also the author of "Hunting the Caliphate ", a blend of military history and first person memories in the war against terror.
