Music, Lyrics, Songs. Music has always been something I've held near and dear to me for as long as I can remember. From the early memories of listening to Charlie Pride, Jackson Browne, and a variety of old country songs sitting at my granny's table, to present day when I hit rewind on a song a million times to hear a specific line, or a piece of a chorus that the music just was awesome. 

Friday night was a night I needed, it was exactly what I needed, but I had no idea why or how much I actually did. Seeing songwriters perform songs that they wrote, later made famous by other artists is a very awesome experience. The writers have a connection, a connection to a song that you can just see, you can hear it, you can feel it.

When the lights lowered, and the musicians came out, the crowd goes silent......and the first chords strummed , its an evening that left an impression on my heart and my soul. It was the soothing sound of music, of live music, the exchange of personal stories between friends on a stage, that myself and the rest of the audience, for that night were part of the gang. It was exactly what I needed, even though I didn't know it.
