Global President - what is needed to create a world leadership and be the

president

Creating a “global presidency” would require both a new kind of world system

and a very specific kind of leader shaped for it, not just a bigger version of a

national president.

The structural side: world leadership system

To become “president of the world,” some form of global political authority

would first have to exist beyond today’s nation‑state system. The main structural

ingredients theorists point to are:

• A constitutional framework for world authority (often envisioned as a

world federation with a charter or constitution defining powers and limits.)

• Clear distribution of sovereignty between nations and global institutions

(subsidiarity: local, national, regional, global each handle what they’re

best suited for .

• Democratic legitimacy at a planetary scale: some combination of global

elections, representation by population, and protections for minorities

and small states.

• Separation of powers at the global level (executive, legislature, courts) to

prevent tyranny or “imperial domination” masquerading as u
