Terrible audio quality, and the story isn’t the best

I would absolutely recommend this podcast to anyone who might like it. The podcast is SO FUNNY! I love this podcast.

Funny and interesting

Sorry, but I litterally fell asleep listening to the first episode and couldn't keep listening, maybe it get;s better, but I didn't have the time to find out. PS: I would also suggest to not use the F bomb every other word while playing D&D, I'm not offended, but it gets pretty old pretty fast.

As a newcomer to DnD and a beginner DM, this pod cast made me fall in love with the role playing involved with DnD. I’ve even got everyone from my group to listen to it. We all love it and have learned so much from it. All in all it’s awesome listen to it

More people should know about this criminally underrated podcast. It’s hilarious and the DM actually makes the combat (my least favorite part of dnd) interesting! My only complaint is that the audio is bad the first few episodes but it gets way better as time goes on. Easily one of my favorites!

As I was listening to the podcast, doing my work in math class. Then I burst out laughing because I learned of *cake*. This podcast is one of the best I’ve listened too. One of the most funniest I’ve encountered.

Honestly, people, give this show a listen. I promise you that if you love creative and funny story telling and a group of individuals who grow on you over time, then this is the show for you. I’ll admit the first few episodes are rough but the quality only improves over time. I’ll gladly listen to this show more than once. Highly recommend

A great D&D podcast I listen to it every day at my 8 hour shift in the office along with the other actual play podcasts and this is one of my favorites listening to the spellcast never fails to make me smile Savara is my favorite character

I don’t get it, why listen to people playing a game instead of going and playing yourself?

So, I saw a bunch of these posts in Twitter by this show and then they started cropping up in my Instagram feed. I decided to give it a try and, wow, I’ve been missing out! This crew has taken my childhood and put it into a D&D game! Like...Chuck E. Cheese (FNaF parody, but still), Labyrinth, Jurassic Park, Legends of the Hidden Temple, POWER RANGERS! I can’t wait until the next arc to see what they’re going to use next!

This show has a great cast and good storytelling with 5th Edition D&D rules (plus the other systems they’re using in their ‘SideCasts’). I also love how they’re naturally funny and would probably be having fun whether there was a microphone or not!

First off, let me be really real - I'm not a podcast person. I don't know the exact reason why, but I feel like most podcasts are trying too hard to be funny, the podcasters seem fake, or the content just isn't interesting. The Spellcast changed ALL A DAT. Not only is it organically hilarious, but it's very real. You can tell that The Spellcast is a brainchild born of genuine passion for D&D. Each character is quirky in his/her own way, the storyline is exciting and immersive, and the lore is as rich as gelato made right in the heart of Italy. Nothing is forced, the troupe is a riot, and I find myself getting lost in the storytelling (so lost sometimes that I nearly miss my stop on the subway). Now, I'm not saying I'm going to start downloading every single podcast I come across, but I will be eagerly awaiting each episode of The Spellcast to drop into my library. Thank you Spellcast for making me a semi-podcast person and for giving me an indulgent morning commute every single day!!
