Hello solvers!
I’m your host, Iliriana Kacaniku, and in this episode I am talking to Daniela Matielo, the Executive Director of the Changemakers Program at Ashoka, the global leader and pioneer of social entrepreneurship.
During the conversation I learned a lot about the transformative power that open innovation methods have. Especially in the social innovation space. Regardless of the industry, I think we need to adopt this perspective more frequently, and explore how might our next open innovation challenge activate ecosystems and communities that will thrive beyond the life of a single competition—All while cultivating the belief that we can and should solve problems in order to create a world where we have more solutions than problems. And become changemakers ourselves.
As we embark on the journey, let’s ensure that:
- We balance the needs of all the stakeholders
- Understand what incentive structure needs to be in place
- Have clarity of what success should look like, and
- We share our best practices with other practitioners in the space so we create a community that sparks positive reinforcement in the practice as well.
