In part 21 of 2921 (you don't need to have heard the others) of the series, Briar and Uther discuss ‘Assassin at Peking’ (you don't need to have seen it). Written by John Lucarotti and directed by Waris Hussein, it's the final episode of Marco Polo, the fifth story of the first series of the first iteration of Doctor Who. We listened to BBC Audio's release of the episode's soundtrack, narrated by William Russell. Also discussed: Lucarotti's 1985 novelisation of the story for Target Books, Zienia Merton's 2018 audiobook reading of that novelisation, Miles & Woods' essay on the story in their 2010 About Time: 1963-1966, and Dene October's 2018 Black Archive monograph on the story. All of which Uther would like to recommend as better modern media experiences than Marco Polo itself.
