On this episode of the Shepherdcast, we continue our podcast’s first ever Spotlight on Outreach series, where we will sit down with representatives from both outreach groups at our church and nonprofits in our community to talk about their ministry and, if the spirit moves you, how you can help them
This week, Jacob Schandel sits down with his grandmother, JoAnn Reynolds, to talk about one of her favorite pastimes: quilting! Over the past couple of years, she and a few others found a way to use this pastime to help others by creating “mission quilts,” for distribution by Lutheran World Relief (LWR), that go to those in need around the world. Our quilting group meets every other Tuesday from 9 AM-2 PM at the church from January to September. You can learn more about our quilting group at www.sotvchurch.com/quilting, and you can learn more about Lutheran World Relief at www.lwr.org. Today’s interview episode was recorded and published on Wednesday, July 17, 2019.
We thank JoAnn Reynolds again for taking time out of her schedule to come onto the podcast this week to talk about our church’s quilting group. This podcast was hosted and produced by Jacob H. Schandel for Shepherd of the Valley Evangelical Lutheran Church. To learn more about our church, please visit www.sotvchurch.com, or follow us on social media @sotvsandyville.
