Simon Templar, also known as &#34;The Saint,&#34; was a suave, swashbuckling, and often witty &#34;Robin Hood&#34; type who fought criminals while staying a step ahead of the police.The radio program had several iterations on different networks:Early runs: The Saint first appeared on radio in 1940 in a six-episode series in Ireland on Radio Athlone, starring Terence De Marney. In the United States, the program began in January 1945 on NBC with Edgar Barrier in the lead role. Later that year, it moved to CBS with Brian Aherne as The Saint.Vincent Price&#39;s iconic portrayal: The most memorable and longest-running radio incarnation of The Saint began in July 1947, primarily starring Vincent Price.
