This is the biggest moment in the existence of The Safe Room Podcast because we have finally reached 100 EPISODES!!! I'm so grateful for reaching this far with the reputation and platform I've created. So for this special episode, I wanted to get someone who exemplifies the drive, determination, artistry, and entrepreneurial aspects wrapped up in one. This week on The Safe Room, I'm joined by Kingsz, the CEO and one of the founders for RoundTable Records. Kingsz has performed more than 60 times in the Last year for Companies like UOfT, R.I.S.E, ICON and showcases such as Arts in the Park, GTA Got Talent & Hutsy financial’s new years event. Kingsz believes in supporting the Youth and teaching Artists Reform & Artrepreneurship to artists and entrepreneurs looking to have a career in the arts.
This episode was recorded on April 20. I interviewed with Kingsz about his motivations for becoming an artist in his community while also developing such entrepreneurial characteristics that helped build RoundTable from the ground up with this team. We also talked about his latest project "B4 Hood Prophet" and why for him becoming a "Hood Prophet" means sharing the messaging of success, support, and leadership for the streets to hear. At the end of our conversation, we look upon lifting up the Hip Hop scene in Toronto that conceptually focuses on showcasing the sides of the arts and entrepreneurship and building up leadership in communities that Kingsz has grown up and experienced.
