Part of the reason they struggle is they don’t know exactly what gifts they’ve been given or how those gifts might fit into a business. Cori Willis works full time in the real estate industry and she sees person after person who work in real estate who don’t fit the jobs they are doing. They may be a property manager but hate working with tenants and lease agreements. They could be a real estate agent and don’t enjoy sales at all. Why does this sort of thing happen? Cori says much of the time it’s because people don’t take the time to discover how they are gifted and then apply those gifts to a particular business that will not only be more fulfilling for them but also bring greater blessing to the world because they are operating according to their unique design. One of the first things she suggests is that you begin to pray, asking God to reveal or point out the gifts He’s given you - but as you do you need to be open. The gifts you think you have may not be what you think they are and the ways you think you are supposed to serve may not be the ways He has in mind.
