Phil Sharp was born in London in 1979 but really grew up in the new city of Milton Keynes. Originally he wanted to get into filmmaking but ended up on a photography course and stuck with it.  Phil lived in New York for a couple of years in my 20's but made my way back to live in London where he's been for the past 11 years.He mostly make portraits in his studio in Tottenham, but his personal work is often more varied.Phil lives with his wife, Rebekah, a pianist.  And his three-year-old daughter Grey, who's into Trolls, Peppa Pig and Lego.

Photography has always been my passion and I was fortunate enough to turn that passion into a career. I spent over 10 years working in newspapers across America. Now, after 5 years of editorial work I’ve made roots in Nashville, TN and am tackling commercial work.

I got to know a variety of photographers along the way and we bonded over our shared passion for this craft. We continue to push each other as we embark on new creative endeavors. As my career continues, my community of photographers grows. I want you to meet some of those photographers.

I want you to hear about our shared experiences and in this moment with a pandemic, civil unrest, and an unforeseeable future I want to inspire people to keep pushing themselves and grow through what others have experienced.
