There is age discrimination in the work place. Older woman face additional obstacles and sometimes have to make difficult choices. There are complex reasons why women face challenges when re-entering employment and the challenges are international. Many women feel trapped in their jobs in once in their 50s because of the reduced prospects of finding alternative employment and women find, sometimes, they have to hide medical conditions otherwise they fear they may lose their current roles.
