What does the God particle have in common with the only FDA-cleared birth control app?

The answer: Natural Cycles.

CEO, Dr. Elina Berglund was once a part of the team that found evidence of the media-paraded God Particle, otherwise known as the Higgs Boson. Post this literal Earth-shaking discovery, Dr. Berglund and her team spent the better part of the past decade perfecting an algorithm for a contraceptive app that is 98% effective with perfect use. Beyond impressive. That app is called Natural Cycles. It is the only birth-control app ever to be cleared by the FDA.

In this episode we discuss Dr Berglund’s unique journey into the tech world, the difference between tech people and physicists, and what exactly makes the Higgs Boson such a game changer. Gotta say, it’s the simplest explanation I’ve heard on the topic.
