-21 and 2nd Timothy 1:1-7, plus the Gospel is from the lectionary, John 14:15-21, where Jesus tells the disciples that if they love Him, they’ll keep His commandments.  The sermon is called “God, Moms, Kids and Us,” exploring why we shift from resistance to rules or orders in the family (moms) to following them without resentment.  Then this line of exploration and explanation goes to our resistance to following God, and God’s commandments.
