In our country, we’ve often had hopes dashed, gotten angry and more with the accumulated decades of gun violence and mass killings in America. He opines that we have a spiritual sickness in this country behind this chronic phenomena, and connects our journey of sadness and confusion with that of the Emmaus two – Jesus accompanies us, too.
