1971 was the year the coveted “lips and tongue” logo was introduced, but an album was also released. “Sticky Fingers” takes us on a raunchy, gritty journey into the dark and dirty places that only the Rolling Stones fear not tread, with triple platinum decadence. Emptying the ashtrays and fast forwarding to 2007 Wilco releases an album that slowly reveals itself to be filled with beautiful melodies, shuffling rhythms and everything a grinning crescent moon would enjoy. “Sky Blue Sky” is full hearted and straight forward while surprising us with hidden complexities. Much like the flavorful straight forward complexity of “The Lake of Bays Brewing Company’s Switchback Pilsner and Oxtongue IPA. Sit back, turn it up, tip one back.
