This “Storytellers episode” features two absolute masterpieces. Daniel Lanois’s debut album “Acadie” took him to New Orleans in 1989 where he created a mystical blend of folk, rock and Acadian magic that will stand alone in the annals of the album world…….forever. After recovering from a motorcycle accident, Mark Knopfler crafted “Shangri-La” in 2004. A slowly unfolding collection of stories/songs that touch on society’s dark underground and key moments in American history that needed revisiting. Two cold and delicious Austrian Stiegls please, as we’re listening to albums!
