This may be the most soulful, bluesy episode to date. In 1972, after touring with the Stones, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells are invited by Eric Clapton to work on a blues album together……………..yes you just read that! These two Southern born bluesmen and an all-star supporting band lay it out old school with “Buddy Guy and Junior Wells Play the Blues”. Later in 2006, while contemplating his place in space and time, John Mayer fashioned his third exercise in virtuosity, the elegantly shaped masterpiece “Continuum” propelling him forward both creatively and musically winning new fans from around the globe. With over 3 million copies sold he picks up the torch from his predecessors with monstrous success. This is the real deal! I don’t know about you, but I need a pint!
