Yesterday, my mother passed away peacefully from congestive heart failure.  February is Heart Awareness Month.  Last year, my mother was a guest on the podcast to discuss her personal heart failure journey coupled with my clinical experience as a cardiovascular nurse practitioner.  Because she was diligent with her diet, medication regimen and follow ups, my mom outlived her prognosis by more than double.  Knowledge is power.  Let's get lit.  #lit4health #healthcare4theculture #heartmonth
