The chant fill that seat has broken out in the wake of the passing of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It has even become a battlecry. Why is it such a controversial issue? Why is it an imperative that the seat be filled ASAP! Does the Bible ever talk about the filling of vacancies? Can we glean some nuggets of information that might help shape our view of the urgency of this hour? I think so.
