From childhood it is expected from us to remember many things. 

We even considered someone with good memory as intellectual person.

But this is not a reality in real world, just your quality to remember things wont make you intelligent. 

But what ideas you come up with can make an impact on the world. That's the reason we should focus on Ideas more.
