Shown in 2019, Cris Tales is a visually stunning JRPG-style game that was due to come out this year that involved in-depth time manipulation mechanics, a frog companion and a whole lot of charm.

I talk to Sebastian Villarreal, lead art director on Cris Tales, about life and representation of Colombia in gaming, thinking of time mechanics in video games, developing a game during a global pandemic and, of course, Smash Bros.
