Our guest today is John Absmeier. John has an interesting background, starting with his career with Delphi (the automotive technology company) where he worked his way up for over 17 years. While at Delphi he spent over 8 years in Shanghai, China.After his time overseas he came back to Silicon Valley for another 4 years at Delphi. Toward the end of 2015 he became VP of Smart Machines at Samsung. Thats about the time I met John. About 2 years after he joined Samsung they acquired Harman International and he is presently SVP of the Autonomous Business Unit at HARMAN & VP, Smart Machines at Samsung. John and I have had some interesting conversations about the future of automotive which usually ends with the love of cars we both share.
