Fifty years ago on October 8, 1971, Canada ushered in the first Multiculturalism Policy in the world.  It recognized the growing diversity of the population and sought to recognize the benefits and overcome inequalities.  This webinar will explore the evolution of the policy and more importantly of the ethic in society at large, and its acceptance or rejection among the population.  Join practitioners of the policy, a former Multiculturalism Minister, a lifelong activist and advisor and a public servant turned researcher, as we evaluate the successes and challenges.
