NYU seniors Camille Barbin and Ariele Deshommes came on to talk about a petition they started to get the CAS Politics department to hire Black professors since there are currently zero in their major. We discuss the need for more diverse faculty in academia, the strengths and shortcomings of NYU's Politics department, and break down NYU's overall response to the Black Lives Matter movement in the past month and a half.
