NYU CAS student Shayan Farmand came in to talk about pursuing a double major in neuroscience and music, and how he has been able to combine both passions while at college. He explains the research work he is doing at NYU on spatial memory, how he wants to go into neuroscience professionally, and somewhere along the way we end up in an existentialist void about the lack of free will. Shayan is also a part of NYU Tisch’s premier co-ed a cappella group N'Harmonics (the 2019 ICCA Champions!), and he talks about his love of singing and an idea for a potential thesis that would combine all that he loves to do.
