Here at The Outlier, broadcasting, discussing and analysing sport is not a mere hobby, it’s a way of life. Much like the intake of oxygen for the average human, we subsist on the narratives, highlights, records, rumour, innuendo and drama that is the world of competitive sport. It is our mission to bring the balance back to sports discussion. The greatest sports broadcaster in history, Richie Benaud, said, 'Do not insult the viewer by telling them what they can already see'. To us this means don't make the obvious statement, take the time to see what others can't. We promise to broadcast by this principal and combine raw passion with authentic thought and insight. No topic will go uncovered, if they’re betting on it; we’ll discuss it. Hosts Tim Hulett & Dave Falconer began broadcasting with ‘Radio Carrum’ back in 2013 where they covered local cricket & football as well as analysing the NFL & NBA on their original podcast ‘L’America’.
