Karl Beckstrand is an American best-selling author and award-winning author/illustrator of 26 multicultural/multilingual books and more than 60 eBook titles. His western survival thriller, To Swallow the Earth, won a 2016 International Book Award, and his works have been lauded by Publisher’s Weekly, Kirkus, The Horn Book, and School Library Journal, along with a slew of other awards, too long to mention.  He is also a former journalist and is an instructor in that wheelhouse, as well as college media.
