Technological advances have made virtual healthcare a reality.  The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the evolution and adoption of this telehealth option, and virtual care has become part of the sports medicine world.  Published in OJSM in October, the study "Telehealth Physical Therapy for Sports Medicine Rehabilitation: What is its Role in the Postpandemic Era?" out of Duke University examines demographic trends and patient satisfaction rates with virtual PT.  We welcome three of the study authors — sports medicine surgeon Dr. Brian Lau, MD, Christopher Antonelli, DPT, and lead author Billy Kim, BA to discuss their findings, their personal experiences, and where they think virtual sports medicine care goes from here.
