Both the health crisis in the US (according to the CDC, 6 out of 10 people in the US have a chronic disease) and our environmental crisis (water and land pollution, as well as climate change) are substantially linked to our current agricultural process (pesticides, herbicides, other chemicals and GMOs) and our food distribution system (where our vegetables and fruits travel thousands of miles, and what we call fresh is 2 to 3 weeks old, while everything else is chemically processed). 
The US spent $3.7 trillion on health care in 2018. 10,000 studies prove 95% of Americans are nutrient starved.
