Karen Peralta Mazara and Jovanna Javis have a conversation about Karen's experience moving to the USA from Dominican Republic at 10 years old, being raised by grandparents until her mom came to bring her to USA, losing her sense of security and feeling traumatized coming to the USA, growing up not knowing the language and being in the minority, having a family and seeing difference with how her kids are growing up in the USA and how we can care for those that are different than us.
