Shama is the Program Director of Girls in Gis (GIG), a prominent women's jiu jitsu organization, that has helped greatly to increase women on the mats.  During our talk Shama shares her origins in jiu jitsu, how her injuring her knee turned out to be a blessing in disguise and how COVID shifted GIG online.
