Sometimes, that consideration comes best in a comfortable chair by ones self in a dim room. Other times, the answers come when you gather with people you care about and talk things out.Today, I give you the latter.My guests and I gathered to talk about the films that really affected us in the past twelve months, but in-truth, we gathered to talk about their affect. We broke bread, we poured the wine, we laughed, we confessed, and we faced the year gone by with graciousness and gratitude.There were a lot of films left out of the conversation that handily could have factored into things, but as it was the show ran pretty long.What I’m saying is, 2017 was a great year for film that – despite all the hand-wringing about blockbuster entertainment – provided MUCH to talk about.Let’s look back. Let’s look forward. Let’s look – always – inward.
