Nina T interviews
Dear Dr. Brett Shur, I really enjoy listening to your guests, especially Nina T, Vinnie T, Dr. Jason Fung, and others who support LCHF. You ask great questions that challenge your guests to answer questions that have substantial relevance, not just softball questions like a lot of hosts do. You don’t come across as hostile, but you do push back on things you disagree about, in a polite but inquisitive way. I know you have a new podcast and I listen to that as well. But I have kept this old one and listen to it occasionally still.

Sometimes……
Sometimes these podcasts are not that easy to follow because I think they forget that not all their listeners are doctors and when they speak using Medical Terminology with these words that only one doctor to another would understand and thats where they end up losing me. I’m not saying all of them are like that, but majority are and it’s quite frustrating. :\

my go-to for getting on track
I’ve been listening since the start, but backslid a bit off of my keto success - but am back at it and Diet Doc is #1 resource and motivator. Highly recommend for content on cholesterol, very low carb, clean keto for anyone looking for longevity and permanent (!) weight loss.

Always professional and informative
This is the top of my favorite podcasts on health and nutrition. Highly informative.

Heart Dr. Bret
I love this podcast! You can tell he’s not sponsored by anyone because his information is real data! His style of interviewing makes it easy for the average person like myself to understand the detailed information his guests share. Thanks so much for doing this podcast!!

What a doctor should be like
Dr. Bret is an excellent cardiologist and I wish he was mine! We need more doctors and scientists like this who question and are curious about people and don’t just promote the normal health guidelines. He thinks outside the box.

I love this podcast!!
I have gotten so much information from this podcast. You do an excellent job interviewing your excellent guests. I have my triglycerides at 650. I’ve heard your interview with Dave Feldman but need help with specifically triglycerides and what to do or ask my doctor for. At this point my doctor says I have a choice between statins or diet but that’s it. I am ketogenic but what specifically should I be doing to lower triglycerides? I look forward each week to your podcasts. Thank you so much for your work!

Top pick
I always stay updated with this podcast and always learn something even if it is a differing view from my own. Would love to see a podcast on the role of triglycerides. Specifically, how does alcohol increase them? Do all dietary fats increase them? Is MCT oil as a meeium chain, good or bad as a dietary intake if trigs are high? Why is it important for trigs to be low or does it really matter?

Excellent
Literate, science based, and a really excellent interviewer. Not one of thos guys who uses guests to prove his own points. I'm a new subscriber, and I'm very impressed.

Very informative. Interesting.
Can't listen without learning something new and disturbing about this country's medical mafia. Thanks for putting your career and probably your life on the line . I'm sharing and trying to get the truth out about what ways of eating really improve health .

Amazing podcast that brings the medical field to the everyday person
It’s exciting to come across a podcast like Dr Scher’s where scientific studies, life experiences, and breakthroughs are becoming available to the everyday person. It may just be me but I’ve always felt a disconnect from the medical field field and ya. This podcast is a portal where Doctors, engineers and experts alike have an avenue to reach out to those interested in diet, nutrition, and their overall health. He’s an extremely knowledgeable doc with great interviews with his peers. It’s almost like being a fly on the wall hearing some great conversations and insight on information that I’ve found continuously gets suppressed. Doc if you’re reading this, you need to invite Dr. Brian Lenzkes! He’s an amazing person and doc. Would be a great podcast!

Really top notch host AND guests
I’m a bit of a health podcast junkie, and this one is my new favorite. Bret has a very solid interview game. I’ve heard many of these guests on other podcasts, and I’ve gotten a lot out of them. However; there’s a big difference when I hear guests on this podcast. Bret follows a far more linear, logical, concise path than most hosts do. These are the podcasts I share when I want to drop knowledge bombs on my friends and family, because they’re far and away the most concise, informative, and credible feeling. That’s important. Because if anyone (including me) gets a whiff of bro-Science or bias, all credibility goes out the window. Bret actually regularly goes out of his way to ask his guests to explain how they might be wrong...need I say more?

Great Science
I found this podcast after listening to Dr. Scher on another low-carb podcast. I love the clear logical thinking and pursuit of true science and betterment of the healthcare industry that is emphasized in this podcast. Thank you for being part of the change to turn around the dismal state of sick care we have right now.

Great health podcast!
I listen to a dozen or more health, low carb and keto podcasts so I've already heard many of the guests that have appeared on this podcast. However, Dr. Scher's great questions, knowledge, and easy style make this one already one of my favorites. One thing that bugs me about some health podcasts is that some hosts are reluctant to challenge their guests. They let statements that any casual listener *knows* that the host disagrees with, yet they let their guests make statements unchallenged. Dr. Scher is not afraid to ask his guests to back up their claims and assertions, which I really appreciate.

Sound, sensible, technical
I just recently discovered this podcast and have been binge listening to it ever since. If you don’t mind some technical jargon, or better yet, if you were looking for a more technical podcast, this is the place for you. The doctor takes a in-depth look at various health topics with a wide range of experts in the field. I admire the fact that he will have a variety of guests with a variety of different takes on issues, and he encourages you to settle the matter for yourself with the best available Data, which is really what you want out of a doctor or a scientist. For example, he recently had different guests advocating different types of diets, from a vegan diet to a low-carb high-fat diet to a defense of beef. He treats all his guests with respect and encourages his listeners to use sound judgment. He has helped me get a better understanding of various topics, especially those related to diet, and I appreciate the diversity of views because we can tend to get into an echo chamber of whatever particular genre we are interested in. This is a great podcast and I hope it continues to grow.
