One of the better RPG podcasts
This has definitely been on of the better RPG shows I’ve heard. I really like the recommendation segment and humor, although sometimes the silliness can get overwhelming. Very nice coverage of the rules and clear explanations about game mechanics.

A Podcast That Happily Challenges Your Sanity
I have really enjoyed the story line and all the twists and turns the story has had to bring us to where we are now. I enjoy listen to a few Call of Cthulhu podcasts but by far this is the most entertaining to me. Keep the fun coming and may Roy live in semi-sanity forever!

Love the characters - both in the game and the cast.
I discovered this podcast last week and am already halfway through chapter 6! Keeper of Lore, I love how relaxed your demeanor is, flowing with 4th wall breaking jokes and getting everything back to task without ever coming off as a duck. I really enjoy that none of you take yourselves to seriously, it feels like I’m just having fun right along with you.

Amazing podcast
I love this podcast but does anyone else have a issue with not being able to find some of the episodes after tape 3 they seem to scatter out from there

Way too good
An absolutely unbelievable podcast. Do you like a podcast that takes a darker theme? Do you like comedy? Do you enjoy laughing so hard your side hurts? Then this is the podcast for you. I've been listening to them for several years and could not recommend them more. The GM does an unreal job weaving a tale that keeps you and the players on the edge of your seat. Of all the podcasts I listen to (and I listen to alot), this is easily in my top three. My only regret is I keep running out of content to enjoy.

Dang good
I love everything from the ads to the recommendos. The atmosphere the Keeper constructs with excellent audio and sfx keeps you immersed in the story while the guys bring life to the characters making you emotionally invested in their tomfoolery. While not all the jokes in the first few story arcs may not be tasteful they really bring it around and deliver cosmic horror with an underpinning of humor.

Fantastic
I love the mix of humor and horror. Found Roy annoying at first but he grows you like a fungus. Episodes are well thought out and masterfully told. Wish I had a group like this. Keep up the good work and I look forward to many more episodes.

Toxic nerd masculinity
The DM is great and tries to make things happen, but the players are egregious trolls and do their best to undermine any serious narrative. Also, it’s fine for men to roleplay as women but maybe don’t spent your whole day making menstruation jokes and giggling at your own wit.

An Excellent Blend of Horror and Comedy
Do yourself a favor and give The Lovecraft Tapes a listen. The Keeper is a talented writer and his descriptions and scenes are very compelling and believable. The horror is mixed with a fair amount of comedy driven in large part by a funny trio of players. This is one of my all time favorite podcasts, and I have listened through the entire thing twice. If you enjoy Call of Cthulhu or Delta Green actual play material, then you owe it to yourself to add the Lovecraft Tapes to your subscriptions.

I love this podcast! One minute I’m creeped out by what’s happening and the next I’m laughing my butt off! I’m on case 4 now and all I can say is that I love Roy and his family

Great show!
I listen quite a few actual play Cthulhu podcasts. In my attempt to achieve entertainment vicariously through the voices of the players I typically wish I was younger with less responsibilities and more time. When I discovered the Lovecraft Tapes I had a sense there was something different, something familiar. The type of humor and pop-references during the sessions actually make me laugh out loud. I binged the entire run over a few weeks. Today I finally caught up and figured I’d check out your YouTube channel to see if your voices matched my imagination. Nope; to my astonishment your all old men! That’s when I realized it, the familiarity, the recognizable pop references from two decades ago... I’m an old man too! Honestly though, you guys are great keep doing what your doing. You’ve inspired me to find a little bit of time for the things I used to enjoy. Cheers!!

Where has my life gone?
This is the first review that I’ve written and just let me say that this podcast is worth it. Honestly it’s a healthy combination of wit, humor, and the spookiness. The story lines are awesome and have motivated me to be keeper for my wife and her friend this weekend. They’re going to make it a drinking game where they take a shot on failed rolls and shotgun a beer if they fumble. Keep up the fantastic work guys, I can’t wait to hear what comes next. P.S. Roy is my spirit animal

Started strong, fell apart
The series was an enjoyable one for the first two chapters. I was engrossed and wanted more... then there was the ending of chapter 2 which ruined everything. Everything that happened in the first two chapters becomes fiction, and the interesting storylines they had are just dropped, which is no fun. It also feels like the GM hijacked the characters. They were written a certain way in chapters one and two which I enjoyed, and then the GM forced the players to have different characters chapter 3 onward. Listen to the first two chapters and then stop, it only goes down hill from there.

Engrossing and fun
I loved this podcast ever since I found it. It's great fun to listen to these folks. As a matter of fact, this podcast was how I really go into Call of Cthulhu. I'd been wanting to run it for a long time and this group helped me figure out a lot of things about how to actually make it happen.

Keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Started listening just over a month ago and this has been my favorite show for my long commutes. The cast do an amazing job at keeping listeners enthralled in their story, waiting to see what happens next, with plenty of laughs thrown in as well.

Amazing!
I’m all caught up! I was recommended your podcast by The Call of Cthulu Mystery Progam and I’m so happy they did! This show is the perfect combination of intrigue, dread, mystery, and fun. I’ll be going to your patreon to become a student.

For a long drive, nothing else could be better. You guys are hilarious, and I’ve honed my Keeper skills by learning from Jeremy. It’s impossible to find a game of my own! I have to say I am continually impressed with Brian’s ability to shift character with such fluidity. Whether its Sam or Jack Whiteside, I’m enthralled by the shroud he creates for this character. Gabe, are you secretly on the side of The Keeper? Thanks guys!

I love these guys
It is rare to find a group with such good chemistry. It might have to do with the fact two of the group are brothers. They all are great to listen to funny and ridiculous at times but still great. I enjoy the reccomendos and have watched a fair few good horror flicks because of them. Listen to these guys. Seriously, RIGHT NOW!

Lovecraft Actual Play
I love this Actual Play, and I usually hate listening to Actual Plays. Well done, guys!

Join the cult, it’s better than sects!
Lock the screen door, reheat the leftover taco-fish and crack open a boomstick brew, its time for the hilariously horrifying hyjinks of the Lovecraft Tapes. Best podcast EVAR! Though I may be a bit biased since me and the podcast have officially been dating since the Q&A... don’t worry, I don’t mind sharing.

Seriously, this podcast is great
One of the best RPG podcasts out there. Blows TAZ out of the water. It has a few audio mixing problems, but other than that, I love kg

Exactly what I want from a podcast
I listened to a couple actual play podcasts, but this is the only one I've found that specializes in Lovecraftian RPG elements, so needless to say I'm very excited. Thanks y'all!

I just found this podcast and I can't stop listening
the headphones have buried in my ears and will not come out, and i see a shadow in the corner of my eyes. it hasn't left but it is getting closer and closer. when i turn to look at it, it disappears. i fear they are closing in now. please never stop i love u guys -------- I located this podcast while trying to find something to fill the void that was in my heart during Cthulhu and Friends' hiatus. This podcast has entered in that void and caused it to fester in the best way possible. There's mystery and a wonderful feel to this podcast and the chemistry between these actors is real. I love it.

A great entertaining podcast
I listen to many differnet podcasts of many different genre and I usually never go out of my way to rate or review them however this podcast decerves the love. Listening to many actual play podcasts this is my favorie lovcraftian one out of all the ones that I have listened to. Also listening to the players refrences to some of their favorite podcasts that I also happen to love , *cough* Welcome to Nightvale *cough*, makes it all the better. The commercials at the beginings are fantastic and the recomendos at the end are great to introduce me to new stuff overall a fantastic podcast to get into.

Entertaining and well paced
I spend a good portion of my day- sometimes upwards of 10 hours- driving around delivering pizzas, so i'm constantly on the lookout for new and interesting narrative podcasts to binge on, and this one hit a sweet spot for me. The DM is very good at setting a scene and keeping the players on task, and it never gets too bogged down in mechanics to be boring or tedious to listen to. While its not up to the same audio or editing standards i've grown accustomed to, its still well worth the listen for the fun players (and characters) and the unusual messes they get themselves in. This podcast deserves a wider audience for sure.

While the general theme of the podcast is Lovecraftian in nature, the unedited quick and amazingly nochalant quips made by every cast member create great tension breaks in grim scenes. Somewhere into the podcast, at the end of each episode, they started recommending things that they have used/played/consumed/viewed in their daily lives that I have to admit have been pretty good, from what I tried so far. The guys do great mock commercials at the start of each episode, which makes me very surprised to hear that they are #StillNotSponsored. All joking aside, really great GM work, and really great investigative work.

My Favorite Podcast
Really a great example of the Call of Cthulhu rpg for those interested in learning more about it. Jeremy does a great job creating mysterious and suspenseful horror stories. The rest of the guys are quite funny and make me laugh at least once an episode. Does a perfect job filling the CoC rpg void since my group disbanded!

👍
I think tabletop RPG podcasts need to be entertaining, but they also need to have enough die rolls, skill checks, combats, etc... to still appeal to my gamer nature. You guys do a good job of balancing those things. There's enough plot for me to take it seriously, but there's also enough humor for me to enjoy the odd predicaments that gaming inevitably puts our characters into. Also, the pacing is good. It never really seems to drag like some of these other podcasts do. So yeah. I'm a fan. Keep up the good work!
