Some weeks you make progress.
Some weeks you make progress and realize how much stuff is broken—tools, systems, and people.
This one had both.
The cabin is finally starting to come together. Metal is going up, problems are getting solved, and things are actually looking like a real structure.
At the same time:
- I managed to smash my thumb repeatedly and send a hammer flying
- Turned a simple weed eater swap into a full-blown headache
- And dealt with two completely different service experiences that couldn’t have been further apart
One shop wasted my time and didn’t care.
The other one showed exactly how things should be done.
There’s a lesson in that… whether you’re building something, running a business, or just trying to get things done without dealing with incompetence.
If you’ve ever:
- Tried to figure things out yourself
- Dealt with people who clearly don’t care
- Or learned something the hard way
You’ll get something out of this one.
