Oh… Hey… It’s that time again. You know: that part where we do our podcast, because we have nothing else to do with our pathetic, miserable lives then to tell you what we think should be going on in the video game industry and Hollywood. The rest of the internet does it, so why shouldn’t we? It’s not like anyone is actually listening to us anyways. *deep sigh*This week we give a SPOILER filled discussion of Kick-Ass 2. That title sounds like what happened to me every lunch period in high school… and during my current job’s lunch break. We also talk about the latest news in video games and movies. There’s cyber bullying (something I know about all to well) in the video game industry by stupid, jock-head fans. The Kinect is no longer required to be connected to the Xbox One, probably because even my video game console doesn’t want to look at me. Bruce Willis is tired of action movies, just like my parents are tired of me living with them. Listen now, or don’t. Whatever. You’ll probably make fun of me regardless.Do you live in Chicago and like live entertainment? Of course you do! We are promoting the Chicago Fringe Festival, but more importantly, we want you to go see a special live recording of Our Fair City.Our Fair City is an award-winning radio theater company based here in Chicago, and they’re producing a live show with the Chicago Fringe Festival! Their unique brand of satire targets corporate culture and consumerism, and is usually wrapped up in a dark but whimsical sense of impending doom. The show is set in a post-apocalyptic near-future, where climate change has turned the skies stormy and the landscape into a vast frozen tundra and the city of Hartford has been taken over by a totalitarian insurance company. Their live show invites you to be an audience member at the taping of a late-night variety show sponsored by the Company. The performance features live music and sound effects, and takes place on September 6th at 7:00pm, September seventh at 5:30pm, and September eighth at 8:30pm at the “Hold the Pickles” stage, at 5415 W.
