The Long Talk: Adventures in Belgium

In their last podcast abroad, Matt and Ryan discuss their time in Leuven, recalling some of their favorite memories from the last five months. The duo discusses what they are looking forward to in the United States and share some kind words about each other and everyone who has listened to them across the world.

Matt sits down with friends Ward and Quentin to discuss their Belgian homeland and their thoughts on the USA. The flemish duo gets quizzed on their knowledge of the United States, comment on Matt's abilities in the AmCo kitchen, and recount their pandemic experiences. The trio talk about their time spent together, discuss education, and ultimately say goodbye to an amazing semester together.

As their time studying abroad comes to a close, the Long brothers are joined by two of their closest friends in Leuven to recap the semester. Kaleigh and Braedan attend Loyola University Maryland with Ryan and have traveled alongside the twins for the past couple of months. The four discuss some of their favorite experiences in Europe and touch upon what they are excited to do and see back in America.

Ryan and Matt embark on a journey to explore the Iberian Peninsula. The pair detail their late-night adventures in Barcelona, the legend of Pepe the Tapas Man, and their overall impressions of the Catalonian city. The duo discuss their experience in Madrid and Ryan recounts his time in Porto, Portugal. Lastly, the brothers talk about their experience at the Stella Artois Factory in Leuven.

As the semester comes to a close, the Long boys begin to hunker down for their final exams. Ryan and Matt discuss their recent shenanigans and plans for the next couple of weeks. The duo recaps their time with their older brother Justin and talk about what they would do if they were back in the United States for 24 hours. Ryan details his time teaching the Belgian students about baseball and briefs his brother on his plan to visit their best friend, James, in Milan, Italy. Matt reminisces about playing lacrosse and gives praise to his two former teammates playing in the NCAA Final Four. The brothers plan on interviewing their friends and neighbors in Leuven in future episodes.

The Long boys return to their homeland of Poland for the weekend! They discuss their adventures traveling to and around Warsaw. Then Matt and Ryan discuss meeting Swedish engineers in Krakow, their trip to the salt mines, and late-night burgers at Max Burger. Lastly, the pair discuss their moving experience visiting Auschwitz.

The boys are back after a great weekend in The Netherlands! The duo discusses their tours through the flower fields, the Arnhem battlefields, and the streets of Amsterdam. Lastly, Matt and Ryan briefly discuss recent events in Leuven and preview their trip to Poland.

The Long brothers are back to record their tenth podcast fresh off of a wild weekend in Dublin. To start, Matt and Ryan detail their time in the Irish capital, focusing on the Guinness factory tour and the overall pub lifestyle. Matt talks about his reunion with a couple of Notre Dame friends and details his experience out at the pubs.
