Sometimes, the best thing to do is throw it all out and start again. Yes, it can be hard, but it might be the only way forward. A few thoughts.

My example is a game I decided to build and then later discovered a flaw that was very difficult to work around. I decided to dump the work and start again, and I never looked back.
