Welcome to the Liberty Mindset, today we will be reading Planned Chaos by Ludwig von Mises. Mr. von Mises is one of the premier economists of the 20th century. He was a heavy influence on Friedrich Hayek. And a product of the Austrian School of Economics in the early 20th Century.

Planned Chaos was published in 1947, and revised in 1949 after the Marshall Plan was instigated. He mentions the Tennessee Valley Authority, which is a project federalizing land use, power grid development, and resource management from Mississippi, North Carolina to Tennessee. It was established in the 1930s. It was part of Franklin Roosevelt’s “New Deal.”
