On today’s episode of the Levity Floatcast we sit down with Brandon Mcconnell the owner of One Up Skate Shop.
Brandon was born in a small town with not much to do. When he was stripped of his dreams of playing volleyball due to a nonexistent male team, he found solace in skating which didn’t require a team. Eventually turning his love into a small local business called Peace of Wood. Through trials and tribulation, Brandon learned the ropes and eventually bought into an already existing skate shop in Pittsburgh called One Up. Now Brandon has expanded the business into a warehouse where he has an attached skatepark for kids.
Brandon is constantly adapting and innovating his space while simultaneously staying in Intune with the culture through the many events and gatherings he either hosts or sponsors. We uncover all of Brandon’s hard work and grit in another amazing episode.
