Lets face it, Dispatchers are the police’s calm voice in the presence of chaos. Many people think that they just answer phones or dispatch calls. Much more goes into than that. Not only are they taking calls from frantic, or rude, or hurt civilians, they must relay all the information real time to the police, fire, and EMS on the street without skipping a beat. Dispatchers are part of the first responder family and are a keystone to the public safety.
